Vanessa and Troy’s wedding at Birdseye Barn at Western Star was a day I enjoyed filming from the first hour. This is a look at how we built their wedding film, and at the people who made the day run.
Setting the Scene at Birdseye Barn
The rustic charm of Birdseye Barn suited a country-themed wedding. The grounds are wide and the architecture has character, which makes a good venue for a videographer. The venue contact at Birdseye Barn, reachable at (330) 603-0352, coordinated the logistics and kept things running smoothly.
Amy Hazell planned the wedding, and her attention to detail and creative eye brought Vanessa and Troy’s plans to life. She also contributed florals alongside Vanessa Cicora, and together they made the arrangements.
Kazimieras Urbonavicius officiated. His words were warm and personal, and they set the tone for the couple’s vows. Britany Walter did Vanessa’s hair in a look that was elegant and timeless.
Dr. Hibachi handled the catering, and guests were still talking about the food afterward. The cake and desserts from Tiffany’s and Jubilee looked as good on camera as they tasted. DJ Smoov read the crowd well and kept the dance floor full.
Building the Cinematic Film
At Human Artist Photography and Cinema we want a wedding film to tell a love story. For Vanessa and Troy we paid attention to candid moments, heartfelt exchanges, and the joyful mood of the barn. A mix of drone footage, steadicam, and careful editing gave the film a cinematic feel.
