Kate and Jake celebrated the start of their marriage on a beautiful early November Saturday! The sky was blue, the air was frosty, but all the laughing and dancing and White Claws kept everyone toasty.
We first met up with Kate and her ladies at her childhood home in a quite Highland Heights neighborhood. Kate, with her hair pinned up in rollers, was sitting in the chair of makeup artist Lindsay London. While the bridesmaids finished getting ready, we photographed Kate’s sleek wedding gown and simply elegant details.
After popping a champagne bottle in the back yard, it was time to put on the dresses! Each bridesmaid wore her own style and color, creating a wonderful palette as they all lined up for group photos!
Before the first look, we met up with Jake and his groomsmen in a suite at the Legacy Village Hyatt. They were clearly having a great time with a cooler full of drinks and the football game on. The day’s most important lineup was the row of stainless steel water bottles that featured each of the groomsmen’s initials, a gift from the groom!
Then came the first look, which took us to a gorgeous English garden on a tucked-away estate in Lyndhurst. A wonderful opportunity to catch some quiet and cozy moments with the bride and groom before the roaring bus ride into downtown.
After photos at the Cleveland sign at Voinovich Park on the water and around the Cleveland Cultural Gardens, we made our way back east to the gorgeous Stonewater Golf Club in Highland Heights.
The ceremony location was centered on a rustic wooden chuppah that was decorated in fresh greens and gauzy draping. The four open sides of the canopy represent the new family’s hospitality and the open home of Abraham.
After sharing sweet vows, exchanging wedding bands, and breaking the glass, the celebration began and the guests erupted into joyous applause.
The room was quickly transformed into a spacious reception, with tall arrangements of baby’s breath and lighted candles on the tables. The theme of simple elegance played beautifully with the tall wooden ceiling.
DJ Kyro and DJ Denicio had the party going before long, and after some sweet (and funny speeches) about brotherly love and lifelong friendship the dance floor was packed! Guests hoisted the bride and groom into the air atop chairs, dancing to the sounds of the Hava Nagila.
Kate and Jake two loving, gracious, and fun souls! We loved to watch them interact with their closest friends and family on this special day in their lives. You could tell that they enjoyed every second of it!
We wish you a lifetime of love, exciting moments, and endless fun!
