A Maronite service honored their heritage, and the golden light on the marble gave the steps a warmth that carried through the rest of the evening. Blooms by Plantscaping filled the steps with flowers until the whole front of the building read as a garden, lush and full, with every detail considered.

Inside the museum the tables carried the same care. Florals covered the settings, and Bri McKeown of Kirkbrides planned and designed the evening so it ran from the first toast to the last dance without anyone having to think about it. Guests dined, raised their glasses, and celebrated in a room that matched the occasion.

The music filled the halls. A live violinist and a saxophonist played alongside DJ Nibal and kept the night going. Lebanese traditions, the zaffe dancers among them, brought the room to its feet early and kept it there.

My job was to film all of it as it happened. The film follows them from the portraits on the museum grounds through the speeches and the formal dances into the energy of the night, cut to hold the rhythm of the day rather than a list of its events.
