Italian Wedding at Columbia Ballroom | Leah and Sam

The first days of September brought the cool edge of fall, a deep blue sky, and a breeze that felt like a change of season. Leah and Sam chose that day to celebrate at Columbia Ballroom, with family and friends around them in an Italian wedding full of heart.

Leah’s morning began in a room full of light, and her mood was calm and happy. Cleveland Bridal Makeup did her makeup, Sarah Delaine Brides styled her long hair, and she put on an off-the-shoulder lace gown from The Dress Bridal Boutique in Medina. The lacework caught the morning light, and she was ready to meet her groom.

Sam was waiting, steady and calm. They chose a private first look away from the crowd, and in the quiet before the ceremony they shared smiles, soft words, and a look that said everything. Sam could not take his eyes off Leah, and she glowed under it.

The ceremony took place outdoors in the farm-like fields around the ballroom, with horses grazing in the distance. They exchanged vows under a flower-covered arch by Michelle Sweaney, and their officiant, David Anderson, guided them through with warmth while guests smiled under the cool September sky.

For the creative photo and video session we went downtown. The architecture of the Cleveland Public Library and the busy streets framed Leah and Sam well, and the city gave a lively contrast to the quiet fields of the ceremony. Leah’s dress moved as Sam held her close, and their smiles were bright under the fall sky.

Back at Columbia Ballroom the reception was ready. The Platinum Party Bus brought the bridal party in, ready to celebrate. The ballroom was self-catered and the spread satisfied everyone. Guests raised their glasses to speeches that grew more touching one after another, and each reflected how close Leah and Sam are to the people around them.

As the night went on, the Blue Water Kings Band filled the room with music and the dance floor stayed packed. Leah and Sam led the way, with friends and family dancing around them. Leah’s uncle made the wedding cake, which came from Rito’s Bakery, and it was a sweet center for the night.
