Downtown, Then the Water
A summer session that started under the lights on East 4th and finished at the lakefront with the towers behind them.

Two outfits, two parts of downtown, and a dog along for the first half. Sessions that move like this work because the two places do different jobs, and you can feel the shift when you look through the gallery in order.
First half · East 4th
String lights and brick
The Arcade end of East 4th gives you lights strung overhead and brick at eye level, which is a useful pair in the evening. The light arrives from above and the color comes off the walls, so a floral dress against that brick needs nothing from me beyond finding the right side of the street.
Two places, two different jobs, one evening.
Second half · Voynovich Park
The lakefront, and the skyline behind it
Voynovich Park sits on the water with the downtown towers stacked up behind it. Open grass, a long view, and nothing in the frame that will look dated in ten years. The bouquet they brought carried the color that the first half had been getting from the brick.
It ended with champagne, which is the correct way to end an engagement session.
