Annie and David chose the Buhl Mansion Guesthouse in Sharon, Pennsylvania, for their wedding. The place had an old-world charm, a sense of history. It felt solid, timeless. It was the perfect backdrop for their love story.
Annie planned it carefully, an elaborate elopement with every detail thought out. She said photography was her most important investment, and I felt the weight of that trust.
The day was quiet and intimate, just the two of them. We moved through the gardens, the light soft and clear. Outdoors, the mansion’s stone walls stood strong against the green, the kind of scene you don’t forget. Inside, the parlor wrapped us in warmth. It was a day of small moments—the brush of a hand, a glance, the way David looked at her when she wasn’t looking.
David told me he hated being photographed. Most men do. But by the end, he said he didn’t mind so much. That felt like a victory, one small and true.
Annie wanted photos that were bright and real, with no heavy filters. She wanted memories, not trends. When she saw the photos, she said they looked like they belonged in a high-fashion magazine. I don’t know about that, but I know they felt like her.
Annie was excited to share the photos, to show her friends and family. That kind of joy is why I do this.
Annie called the day special. She said I made them feel comfortable, like they mattered. That’s the goal every time.
Their wedding was simple and true, a story told in light and shadow. It was a good day.
