Christmas decorations were gleaming and the occasional snowflake fell, as the early winter atmosphere set the scene for Matthew and Mallory’s cozy and bright December wedding day.

Inside a charming log cabin, the gorgeous family home that bore all the charm and strength to battle the winter chill, Mallory and all the ladies got dressed and ready for the big day. Just down the hill was the Winona United Methodist Church, where this fun-loving couple would celebrate their ceremony.

Mallory was gorgeous in her glimmering sleeveless gown and embellished cathedral veil and Matt looked sharp in his navy blue ensemble. Family and friends laughed and cried as they witnessed Matthew and Mallory’s vows and heard the touching (and funny) tale of their journey to the altar from the pastor.

After the ceremony, we made our way back to the family farm, where we reconvened in the “clubroom”, a magical place with three always-open bars full of beer on tap, for portraits with the bridal party. After a few photos inside, away from the inclement weather, Mallory chose to brave nature for a stunning pine forest backdrop. The icy rain created a misty effect beneath the treetops, and the perfect rows of conifers tastefully brought all the focus back to the stunning newlyweds.

The reception that followed at the Avalon Inn was simply spectacular. The place glistened with holiday cheer in every corner, and everyone was prepared to have a great time! The thrilling energy of this impressive party was amplified by the work of DJ Mike from Black Tie Entertainment.

Their entire family, including grandma, danced the night away! Each guest went home with a handmade Christmas ornament bearing memory of the day and a stomach rock-solid-full of homemade cookies (You were DOOMED if you attempted to try one of each!) The love that surrounded this magical day was amplified by the massive support of Matthew and Mallory’s big, happy family. (A BIG shoutout to Chris and Doug, two immensely generous, welcoming, and talented friends and artists. Thank you and your family for entrusting your wedding day photos to us!)

Congratulations to Matthew and Mallory on the start of this new, big journey of building a life together. Keep laughing and having a great time together! Your joy is captivating!
