A summer dream! That was Chrystyna and Marko’s Cleveland wedding day. Chrystyna was elegantly dressed in a fitted lace gown, with pearl drop earrings and a sweeping updo, while Marko wore a sharp black tux and sleek bow tie.
Though the morning outside was misty and gray, the wedding day inside Chrystyna’s home was busy and cheery as nine pink-robed bridesmaids bustled around with champagne in hand.
A beautiful, summer sun spilled from behind the clouds just as guests began to gather in the front yard for the arrival of the groom to Chrystyna and her family. Marko and his groomsmen pulled up to the driveway waving their Serbian flags and honking their car horns. After bartering for the bride, the celebration turned to dancing and the drinking of slivovitz.
Following the beautiful ceremony at St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church in Parma, we headed to downtown Cleveland for photos with the iconic architecture of the old courthouse and the west bank of the flats.
The reception at the Astrodome of Parma was elegant with tealight candles, tall arrangements of pink roses and hydrangeas, and pink satin sashes adorning the hall. The joy of Chrystyna radiated throughout the hall as they danced the night away—even trying some acrobatic Ukrainian dance moves!
