Amidst Ohio’s plummeting temperatures, icy winds, and perpetually snow-covered terrain, one warm, gentle morning arrived on Saturday, January 11th. This was quite a welcomed surprise for many of us Ohioans, all bundled up to our ears in knitted scarves and bulky parkas. While meteorologists might argue this phenomenon to be a warm front from the south and ramble on extensively in their scientific jargon, I have my own, much less complex, theory of this warm weather incident: an influx of Texans visiting the small town of Oberlin that weekend!

Rosie, a very dear friend of ours and fellow voice student at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music was getting married, and there to celebrate were many friends and family who had traveled all the way from Houston to witness the love of this talented young duo! What a loving atmosphere that surrounded Sean and Rosie that wedding day! Complete with two adorable grandmothers for flower girls, fragrant sprays of fresh lavender for bouquets, and an ensemble composed of Oberlin musicians to provide the wedding’s soundtrack, the day was simply perfect!

Yevhen and I were so happy to capture the beauty of that memorable wedding in oberlin, the love of two beautiful friends, and the unparalleled support and happiness that filled the air! Best wishes to you, Rosie and Sean, as you begin your new life together!!

Love, Yevhen & Julie
